Booking questions
What's the difference between the tour and the rental?
The kayak and snorkeling tour is guided: it includes a guide for the whole outing and snorkeling gear, with a fixed 2-hour duration. The rental is self-guided: you set the pace within the booked time (90 minutes), unguided and without a snorkeling stop included.
What's included in each service?
The tour includes a guide, kayak, paddle, life vest and snorkeling gear. Single and double kayak rental includes the kayak, paddle(s) and life vest(s), without a guide or snorkeling gear. Paddle board rental includes the board, paddle and life vest. Full prices and durations in prices.
How is a booking confirmed and how do I pay?
Submitting the booking form generates a request, not a confirmed booking. Real confirmation and the payment method are arranged directly with the operator by WhatsApp or email; this website doesn't process payments or charge any amount.
How do I know if there's availability for the date I want?
Kayak Tenerife doesn't show real-time availability yet. After you send your request from the booking page, real availability is confirmed by WhatsApp or email.
What's the cancellation policy?
50% refund if you cancel 24 hours or more before the activity starts, and 0% if you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice. See full cancellation policy (ES).
Logistics questions
Do I need previous experience to go kayaking?
It depends on the option. The guided tour doesn't require it: you're accompanied by a guide the whole outing. Self-guided rental (single or double) works best if you're reasonably comfortable in the water, since there's no guide along the way.
What should I bring on the day of the activity?
Swimwear worn under your clothes, a towel, sun protection, a change of clothes and footwear that can get wet.
Can families with minors take part?
To be confirmed The exact minimum age is still to be confirmed with the operator. We don't publish a figure until it's verified; ask about availability stating the minor's age before booking.
What languages are available for the activity?
Support is planned in Spanish, Italian and English; the exact language availability for each outing is still to be confirmed with the operator.
Safety questions
What happens if the weather or sea isn't good that day?
The operator can cancel, shorten or reschedule an outing for safety reasons if sea or weather conditions aren't suitable. This decision is made on the day, at the departure point.
Can you see marine wildlife?
Yes, on most outings it's common to see marine wildlife —turtles and, sometimes, dolphins— but we can't guarantee it: it depends on each day and on nature.
